Reasons to Extract a Tooth

What to Expect

We will begin by answering any questions you may have so you can get a better idea of what to expect during the procedure.

We want you to be as comfortable as possible, we provide anesthetic and can utilize nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help you feel relaxed. Once your tooth is numb, we will carefully remove the affected tooth and place grafting material to avoid any defects in the area, a resorbable stich is usually placed over the socket.

Before you leave, we ensure a healthy blood clot is forming and will give you clean gauze to bite on to provide pressure to the area.

As a final step, we will discuss post operative instructions on how to manage discomfort after the numbness wears off, along with details for any medications prescribed.
